The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement is kicking off the Holiday Helper Tree today in Russell Union. This event gives students the opportunity to embrace the spirit of giving by picking a person off of the Holiday Helper Tree.
On each tag is an ID, age and desired gift for the individual. Students will have from November 6 through November 21 to pull a tag from the tree. There will be a table setup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. everyday during that time.
“Holiday helper is where everybody tries to help out the community by providing gifts for those in need,” Coniann Evan, Holiday Helper Tree volunteer, said.
For more information on how to get involved stop by the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement located on the first floor of the Russell Union, or go to their website at http://students.georgiasouthern.edu/LeadServe/hht/.
