Theater south will be putting on their version of The Government Inspector this Wednesday at 7:30, and I had the opportunity to talk with one of the members of Theater South, Merrill Brown.
The Government Inspector is a comedy with a large list of cast members, all Theater South and Georgia Southern residents, and all very talented. With a large cast, of course, Theater south is also looking for a huge turnout at the C.A.T. on Wednesday night, and with a ticket price of only five dollars for students, ten for everyone else, it’s more than reasonable to be sure that everyone will be there.
Georgia Southern is a campus where entertainment is hard to miss, and no other organization proves this mantra more than Theater South. As a matter of fact, they’re already hard at work to create their next large project: Metamorphoses.
Metamorphoses stands as an epic greek tale with mythological themes, and with just as grand of a cast for the Theater South version. The auditions for it are on December 3rd, and anyone interested should contact theater south via their MyInvolvement page on mygeorgiasouthern.edu.
There’s also an informational desk set up by Theater South in the rotunda, just outside Russell Union, for anyone interested in either production.
