The NAACP is in the union informing people of their first general body meeting of the semester on Thursday called ‘The Real State of The Union.’
The NAACP brings forward issues that African-American students face on campus and in the larger community. Bridging the gap between people of color is one of the main strides of the NAACP organization here on campus.
“We are passionate about social justice,” said James “Major” Woodall, a Senior Political Science major. “You receive structure, a foundation and get to be apart of a legacy that will never end.”
The event will feature special guest, Dr. Francys Johnson, and will be held in the Carroll Building room 1022 at 7pm with refreshments at the end.
