Forte Step Team is an organization that specializes in step and dance. This step team has participated in many on-campus and off campus events such as the annual “Doo-Dah Dance and Step Show,” where they have come in first place for the past two years.

Forte has an info session coming up on Tuesday Jan. 27 in the Russell Union room 2073 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 29 in the Russell Union room 2054 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. During this info session, students can learn what to expect such as tryout information and rules.

“We judge on precision, complexity, knowledge of the step, creativity and attitude,” LaShell Jones, president of Forte Step Team and senior multimedia film and production major, said.

Tryouts will be hosted next week at the RAC. Come out in your gym close and tennis shoes so that you can be comfortable while getting your step on.
