Found shaking and baking outside of the Russell Union, Dance Marathon dedicates their organization to raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospital in Savannah, Ga.
Each year, Dance Marathon hosts an annual 12-hour marathon consisting of students and participants staying on their feet dancing and playing games through the night to celebrate the total amount of money raised each year.
“It’s more of a celebration than a fundraiser to us,” Brandi Thompson, junior biology major, said.
The organization also offers engaging opportunities for the public to take part in such as dressing up as superheroes and Disney characters, watching and competing in dance contests and spending a night out on the town at Dance Marathon’s local sponsor Moe’s Southwest Grill.
A percentage of the profits on Moe’s Night on Thursday will go to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
