The STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) career fair gives students the opportunity to network and seek internships and co-ops. The fair is in the Performance Art Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
A wide range of companies are at the fair and eager to meet Georgia Southern Students.
“Students at this career fair come prepared, dressed professionally and very driven to enter the career field,” a representative from Rural Sourcing Incorporated said.
Notable employers such as Delta, General Motors and Georgia Pacific are at the fair. Innovative companies such as Mobiquity that develop apps are also at the event
“The career fair is good for students with other majors than STEM, because every company needs people for other divisions,” Mary Lu Adams, the coordinator of career programs and events, said.
The STEM fair has been at Georgia Southern for about five years and has grown in size so much, it is moving to the RAC next year.
