The Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibit is currently on the first floor of the Center for Art and Theatre and will be available until March 27. The exhibit includes the work of four Masters of Fine Arts candidates Michael Lesh, Lindsey Sullivan, Ruth Patel and Claudia Furlow.
Aggro Duality is an exhibit presented by 3D studio art MFA candidate Michael Lesh that includes several large sculpures. According to Lesh, it was inspired by skateboarding and custom-automobile cultures.
The Project Shop is centered on DIY projects and was created by Lindsey Sullivan, an MFA graphic design candidate.
“I like that the project shop gives baby DIY projects and the sculptures are different than all of the other sculptures I’ve seen with the use of plastic, lights and wires,” Mesha Russell, senior exercise science major, said.
Claudia Furlow, an MFA candidate in 2D studio art, combined “grotesque imagery with Renaissance aesthetics” to make her exhibit named Intimate Summation.
The last exhibited, Confabulation, includes colorful sculptures about the instability of memory according to it’s creator Ruth Patel, a MFA candidate for 3D studio art.
