The University Programming Board is in the Russell Union today promoting Georgia Southern’s upcoming Spring Bling 2015 Concert starring the Migos.
With past performances featuring mainly country singers including the likes of Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum, senior writing and linguistics major Taylor Tyson sees the concert as a change towards diversity in GSU’s music scene.
“The Migos concert will be my first big rap experience here at GSU,” Tyson said.
UPB is offering students the chance to win exclusive tickets to the show. Students can participate in a game called Don’t Forget the Lyrics to test their lyrical memory.
“We let the contestants hear a couple of songs while asking them ‘fill in the blank’ questions with the lyrics afterwards,” Nyra Simmons, senior psychology major and UPB worker, said. “The last four contestants will be given exclusive prizes such as backstage and flash passes.”
The Migos’ Spring Bling Concert takes place on April 18th at 8 p.m. in the Hanner Fieldhouse. Tickets are still available for purchase.
