The Georgia Southern women’s soccer team announced its 2019 schedule and it features a daunting non-conference lineup.

The 18 game regular season schedule will open with a pre-season game against Mississippi State in Columbus, Georgia on August 15, officially start August 22 at Maryland and begin “home” play on Savannah’s Armstrong campus when The Citadel comes down for an August 25 match.

The Eagles will play eight out of conference games to begin the season, including home matches with The Citadel, Presbyterian and UAB and a trip to Athens to face Georgia September 12 before beginning Sun Belt play September 20 at Coastal Carolina.

GS will host conference opponent Little Rock two days later and travel up to Boone for a match September 29. The Eagles will host rival Georgia State October 13 and finish regular season play October 27 at Texas State.

The women’s soccer team will hope to bounce back after a down 5-12 season in 2018 and qualify for a Sun Belt tournament that will take place November 6-10.
