Redshirt-senior wide receiver Obe Fortune has entered the NCAA transfer portal, confirmed by the Georgia Southern football media relations staff.

Fortune, a 6-foot-1 receiver from Alpharetta, hauled in five receptions for 49 yards in 2018. The former three-star athlete also threw a 40 yard pass to Wesley Kennedy III on a double pass against Clemson.

Fortune had initially committed to Appalachian State, but flipped to GS two days before 2015 National Signing Day.

This is the third receiver to transfer from GS this offseason, joining Marcus Rogers who announced he was transferring to Iowa Western Community College in January and Scoobie Ford who transferred to Iowa Central Community College in January as well.

There are six wide receivers currently on the 2019 football roster.
