The Georgia Southern men’s golf team is headed to the NCAA championship after placing fourth in the NCAA Stanford Regional on Wednesday.

The Eagles ended with a -6 team total for the three-day tournament, one of only four teams to finish under par for the event, and three players finished par or better.

Senior Steven Fisk and Junior Jake Maples led the way, both finishing in the top 10. The berth in the NCAA championship marks the first time since 2010 for GS.

Alongside the team accomplishments, Fisk was recently announced as a finalist for the Haskins Award, given to the most outstanding male collegiate golfer of the year.

The NCAA Finals will be held May 24-29 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
