Bulloch County under tornado watch until Friday night
April 19, 2019
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Bulloch County and the surrounding area which will stay in effect until 6 p.m. Friday.
A tornado watch is when the conditions are suitable for a tornado, but there has not been a tornado spotted in the area.
“The University will send an Eagle Alert when a National Weather Service Tornado Warning is issued for a geographic area that includes a campus location,” Kelly Nilsson, director of emergency management said in an email. “Please stay aware of changing conditions today.”
In the case of a tornado, find shelter in a safe room with no windows. Do not try to outrun a tornado in a vehicle.
