How will the football ticket lottery work?

STATESBORO — After announcing Paulson Stadium would have limited capacity to satisfy social distancing guidelines, Georgia Southern announced Friday they’ll be using a lottery system to distribute the student tickets.

Students are eligible to win two tickets. Due to social distancing measures in place, the stadium is operating at a reduced capacity of, up to, 25 percent.

“We can offer a higher percentage (32 percent- not including band and cheerleaders) of tickets to our students through a lottery system.” said Georgia Southern Athletics.

Students can enter the lottery at GSEagles.com/StudentTix.

There are a few stipulations and things to remember when it comes to the lottery:

  • Student tickets can only be used by current GS students from all three campuses.
  • Games will be accessible until the published cut-off date
  • Only sign up for games you wish to attend
  • Lottery sign-ups will end approximately four days before each game
  • Winners will be notified the day of the selections and students will have until the end of that business day to claim their tickets
  • If you sign up for the lottery and win a ticket, but you realize you can no longer attend that specific game, you will have until 8 a.m. two days prior to the game to indicate you do not want the ticket.
