STATESBORO — As they have every week, Georgia Southern reported 363 positive COVID-19 cases during the third week of classes. That’s 145 less than GS’ second week numbers.
“The report below shows a decline from last week in confirmed and self-reported cases after completion of the third full week of classes on our campuses,” said a disclaimer on GS’ reporting website. “While we have been pleased with how the university community is complying with public health guidelines on our campuses, we must remain vigilant in our efforts if we want to continue the semester as we have started.”
Similar to the second week, a majority of the cases come from students on the Statesboro campus.
21 cases come from employees, 11 from the Armstrong campus and only one from the Liberty campus.
