
As editor-in-chief he oversees all coverage from The George-Anne, contributes long-form investigative and feature pieces and leads a team of managing editors and correspondents. Prior to being named editor-in-chief, Andy was managing editor for news coverage during the summer 2020 semester and a candidate during the spring 2020 semester .
While at The George-Anne, Andy has led numerous investigations inciting change and broke news on major stories from the Georgia Southern community. His reporting has been picked up by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, multiple Savannah-local media outlets and shared thousands of times on social media.
During the summer 2020 semester, Andy worked with the team at Fox News' America's Newsroom. There, he wrote readers and pitched stories daily for the show's 9 a.m. hour. His work for Fox News landed on air numerous times.
Before The George-Anne, Andy worked for Gwinnett County Public Schools' broadcast and AV media team (better known as GCPS TV) as a digital media intern during his junior and senior years in high school.
While working at GCPS TV, and during high school, Andy garnered numerous student and professional awards and nominations, including a bronze Telly win, a nomination for a Southeast Emmy and two student Emmy wins.
Currently, Andy is majoring in multimedia journalism with a minor on political science. He is expected to graduate in May 2023.
