September 17, 2020
STATESBORO — Georgia Southern is hosting free outdoor screenings of “Good Trouble”, a film honoring the life of former US Representative and Civil Rights Activist John Lewis at the Armstrong and Statesboro campuses next Wednesday night.
The movie highlights John Lewis’ lifetime of activism, starting just when he was a teenager working alongside Martin Luther King, Jr., and is being shown in the hopes that it will inspire students to register to vote before the October 5 deadline.
The showings will take place on September 30 at Burnett Lawn (Armstrong) at 6:30 p.m. and at Sweetheart Circle (Statesboro) at 7:30 p.m..
