STATESBORO — The Office of International Student Admissions and Programs is hosting a week-long series of events for their International Education Week from Monday, November 16, to Friday, November 20.

This week-long celebration at Georgia Southern honors the university’s cultural richness and diversity and is a joint effort between the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education.

According to the website of the State Department, the week is, “part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.”

GS will be hosting both digital and in-person events at the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses. Among these planned events are “This World is Ours” T-shirt giveaways, movie nights, talks hosted by faculty and students and an international menu at the Statesboro dining commons.
