The Eagles are set to compete against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 2 p.m. this Saturday at Hanner Fieldhouse on Georgia Southern’s campus.

Coming off of a loss to Coastal Carolina on Thursday, the Eagles are looking to claim a victory, especially one in the Sun Belt conference. The GS record now stands at 7-18 overall and 2-12 in the Sun Belt.

Although GS is looking at a four game losing streak, their communication is something that the team continues to work on and it will only get better with time. The Eagles are determined to lock in a win this Saturday to bump up their seat in the conference.

A few players to watch this game would be junior forward Hailey Dias-Allen and junior guard Alexis Brown. Fans have seen a lot of them this season and it is only because they both continuously contribute to the amount of the points that the Eagles add to the board each game.

In the game Thursday against CC, Dias-Allen scored 13 points for the Eagles and had a total of 10 rebounds. This is the second time this season that she has scored double digits in more than one statistical category.

Brown is another player to watch out for since she racked up 20 points for the Eagles against CC. Brown was in the game for a good amount of time with her sitting at 35 minutes total, then going 9-11 in free throws.

The game against the Mountaineers is set for Saturday and will stream on True Blue Live, with tip off set for 2 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
