Tookie Brown named to the mid-season watch list for Lou Henson Award

Georgia Southern senior guard Tookie Brown has been named to the Lou Henson Award mid-season watch list, announced Wednesday, Jan. 9.

The senior guard has collectively played 113 games in his collegiate career at GS and starting 109 of those games- totaling out at 3,683 minutes. Brown has also logged 1,998 points and averages 16.5 points per game.

Brown is one of fifty finalists, and one of three finalists from the Sun Belt conference. Other finalists from the conference include D’Marcus Simonds from Georgia State and Troy’s Jordon Varnado.

The Lou Henson Award is awarded annually to the nation’s top mid-major player in Division I college basketball. The award will be presented in April at the men’s division I championship in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
