Tropical Depression Fred bringing rain all week
August 17, 2021
Tropical Depression Fred made landfall near the Florida panhandle on Monday afternoon and continues to make its way northeast, the National Hurricane Center said.
Fred is expected to bring heavy rains, and storm surges to the coasts, but will begin to weaken as it goes further inland.
Western and northern Georgia, southeast Alabama, and the western Carolinas could see up to 4-7 inches of rain until around Thursday afternoon
Fred is one of three current Atlantic Storms being monitored by the NHC including; Tropical Depression Grace which is moving towards Hati, and Tropical Storm Henri that formed Sunday night near the coast of Bermuda.
