Georgia Southern campus Sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi’s, Alpha Lambda Chapter will be hosting its annual 5k Run for the Roses event this Saturday.

The Run for the Roses event will benefit The Arthritis foundation which is “the largest national nonprofit organization solely dedicated to the prevention, control, and cure for arthritis. About 54 million people have been doctor-diagnosed making Arthritis the leading cause of disability in America, surpassing heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. 300,000 of those are children.” according to Run for the Roses official website

Anyone is eligible to register for this event up until the run date, or can donate here.Check in for the event is at 8 a.m., with the run beginning at 9 a.m. The 5k will begin at the Alpha Omicron PI house on greek row and will extend throughout Georgia Southern’s main campus in Statesboro. Water stations will be available in various places throughout the 5k.
