Georgia Southern announced Wednesday that the game against Clemson has been moved up and will now be played at noon Saturday.

The first matchup between the Eagles and the Tigers was originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m., but had to be pushed up in preparation for Hurricane Florence. After speculation of a cancellation, Clemson University officials felt this was the most strategic plan.

Fans are encouraged to make plans to arrive early and expect traffic delays.

This game is one of many games that has been affected by the hurricane as several games in the Carolinas have been rescheduled or canceled.

The George-Anne will continue to monitor Hurricane Florence and how it will impact the Clemson game.
