COVID-19 Regulations for the Fall 2022 Semester
August 9, 2022
Students and faculty can help prevent further spread of COVID-19 by practicing healthy habits this semester.
What’s new: Students and faculty should continue to follow the previous COVID-19 regulations.
- “The University will continue to provide free COVID testing and vaccines to our faculty, staff, and students,” said Georgia Southern Communications and Marketing. “This offering includes primary doses and booster doses.”
- “If a student is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, they should get tested immediately,” said GS Communications and Marketing. “If you test positive for COVID-19, please complete the university’s online Health Reporting Form, located within the MyGS portal. The form will provide appropriate steps for your isolation and alert your professors.”
- Those notified as a close contact of a positive case should complete the Health Reporting Form and will be notified whether they should quarantine.
- Faculty and staff should follow the same protocols and should reach out to their supervisors if they test positive.
Why it matters: Keeping one another safe and healthy this semester will allow all students and faculty to make the most of this new semester.
