Georgia Southern Win Against Ball State Ke’Juan Humphries Gives You The Recap

Homecoming week ended in celebration for the Eagles as they took down the Ball State Cardinals 34-23 at Paulson Stadium on Saturday. 

Quarterback Kyle VanTrease led the way with 310 passing yards and two passing touchdowns along with a 4-yard rushing touchdown on the game. Both of VanTrease’s touchdown passes came in the 4th quarter. A quick pass to JJay McAfee gave the Eagles a 27-23 lead midway through the 4th quarter. The second touchdown for Vantrease was a 47-yard rocket to Amare Jones to seal the deal with 1:40 left in the game. 

The running backs for Georgia Southern also contributed to the win. Gerald Green scored a touchdown of his own in the second quarter. 

The Eagles improve their record to 3-1 with a bounce back win after losing to the University of Alabama Birmingham last weekend. 

This game was a quick pit stop in Statesboro for the Eagles as they go on the road to take on Coastal and Georgia State over the next two weeks.
