Sports Catch Up: Georgia Southern Women’s basketball continues to dominate winning 6 out of 7 games during the break

GS WBB are now 11-2 over all ( 3-1) in the conference after ending 2022 with a win over Arkansas state, having multiple impressive games over the winter break, here’s what you missed from your Eagles.

GS played their last 3 regular season games before playing in their Sun Belt opener against Texas State, and playing 3 more Sun Belt conference games. 

  • Texas State defeated the Eagles 82-70 in the SB opener.

  • Eagles defeated Arkansas St. 99-86 after a career-high 40 point game from Terren Ward, who was named SB Women’s basketball player of the week

GS WBB won their first two games of 2023 against Coastal Carolina (81-65) and Marshall(83-80)

  • Georgia Southern will be back in action January 12 against new Sun Belt team Old Dominion at Hanner Field.
