According to the Georgia Southern University Police Department, in one day multiple vehicles were broken into and items were stolen.
What happened:
- In the J lot, someone used a toolbox key in the ignition and broke the switch.
- In the F lot at Southern Courtyard, a driver side door and gas tank was left open, $10 was taken out of the glove box.
- Also in F lot at Southern Courtyard, a speaker was stolen along with a wallet, 4 gift cards and $100 in cash. Also, the vehicle manual and insurance information was stolen.
- In the J lot at Eagle Village, the front passenger door was left ajar, glove box and center console were left open, and a wallet was taken with cards in it.
- In the Kennedy overflow lot, a seat cover was taken.
What’s important: This is a reminder to make sure your doors are locked at all times and to keep your valuables at home or with you at all times. Break-ins can happen at any time.
