Georgia Southern only lose 1 set out of 7 defeating Old Dominion university
1st Set: The Eagles opened up this set with a lead, but ODU would tie it early at 7 all.
- Attack errors would plague Georgia Southern as ODU started to build a lead.
- Unable to come back the Lady Eagles would lose this set 18-25.
2nd Set: In the second set the Eagles would overwhelm ODU with a mix of offense and defense.
- They would quickly find themselves up 10-4.
- The Eagles would take this set 25-16.
3rd Set : The third set was far more competitive as both teams battled to hold a lead.
- Despite neither team pulling away, the Eagles found themselves with their largest lead at 20-15.
- Each team would score 5 more ultimately giving the Eagles the win 25-20.
4th Set: An Eagles Offensive clinic was on display in final set.
- 18 of the Eagles 25 points came off of offensive scores.
- The offensive outburst fueled the Eagles to a 25-11 win
What’s next: The Lady Eagles will begin their 4 game homestand against Coastal Carolina this weekend at Hannerfield house. They play Friday, October 6th at 6pm, and then Saturday, October 7th at 1pm.
