Eagles Score 24 Points in 2nd Quarter to Help Secure Lead

Georgia Southern took down ULM 38-28 in their Homecoming game on Saturday 

1st Quarter:  ULM scored the first touchdown of the game and GS answered back with a 54-yard pass from Davis Brin to Derwin Burgess Jr. 

  • The 54 yard pass was the longest touchdown pass of the season

2nd Quarter:  The Eagles scored 24 points in the 2nd quarter with 3 touchdowns and a field goal to permanently keep the lead.

  • This is most that GS has scored in a single quarter this semester
  • Jalen White, Keaton Upshaw and Micheal Lantz
  • ULM scored once in the 2nd quarter and had 3 straight turnovers

3rd Quarter:  ULM scored a single field goal in the 3rd quarter 

4th Quarter:  A late Pick six lead to the Eagles official win

  • On the next ULM drive, Tyrell Davis intercepted the ball on the 28-yard line for a pick-six to secure the victory, 38-28. It was his second collegiate interception, first returned for a score.

The Eagles will face Georgia State this Thursday at Paulson Stadium at 7:30
