Boro Pride, which labels itself as Statesboro’s official PRIDE organization, hosted a PotLuck and Drag show event on Saturday, January 27th at Georgia Southern’s City Campus at 58 E Main Street.
According to an interview with the Deputy Director of Boro Pride, Kenneth Smith, the event was intended to be a meet and greet and recruitment event for the organization’s organizational board and planning committee.
Attendees brought their favorite dish for the potluck and were welcomed to enjoy the large spread of snacks and treats before being moved to a separate room to learn about the different events and activities that Boro Pride supports.
Afterward, attendees were able to watch drag show performances by Tiffany DuBois, Chanel Cartier Reigns, Amias Storm, and Shannon Rose. The drag show provided entertainment for the afternoon as well as showed the community how the committees plan for events throughout the year.
