Reflector Reviews: Sully’s Steamers Statesboro

Reflector+Reviews%3A+Sullys+Steamers+Statesboro

Come one, come all, to my new favorite breakfast/lunch sandwich place in Statesboro, the lovely, Sully’s Steamers. Y’all, when I tell you that I am an avid sandwich lover, I mean it. So for me to be head over heels for not just a sandwich, but an entire restaurant that’s all sandwiches, it means a lot.

This week I got to try the newly opened Sully’s Steamers in beautiful Statesboro. Now unfortunately, unlike nearly all my other food reviews, I did not get to interview the owner. Sully’s originated in Greenville, South Carolina, but has grown to have several Southern franchises, including the latest addition in Statesboro. I did eat there regardless though and I have a lot to say (all great things of course).

To start off with, the building itself. From the outside it’s generally unassuming since it’s shared with several other establishments, but the interior… Gorgeous! When you walk in, the vibe is immaculate. This fabulous rustic feel is everywhere, from the small booth, the highchairs, tables, light fixtures, neon light wall sign, and amazing mural painted on the left wall featuring the one and only Gus the Eagle. So cozy, so cute, and so so fun. Not to mention, the staff was super super sweet and helpful and really were fantastic when I couldn’t figure out where to get my food from.

Speaking of food… OMG. These sandwiches are next level with their menu featuring a wide variety of breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, vegan, and plentiful more. The sandwich I got was the “Full Monte” , a delicious monster of a breakfast sandwich that had cream cheese, ham, egg, swiss, and strawberry jam on an everything bagel, along with a pleasantly made cold brew iced coffee (if y’all know any coffee shops I should try please tell me because I’m lowkey a huge coffee addict.) My roommate Selena, who I dragged with me (thank you Sel!), got a standard “breakfast bagel” with added strawberry jam and a cold brew iced coffee as well.

These sandwiches were to die for you guys. Seriously this is now my go to any time I’m hungry because they really were phenomenal, positively mouth-watering. If you don’t want to take my word for it though, take Selena’s:

“I loved it, and I’m so glad we have a place like this in Statesboro because I love sandwiches so much. Seriously though, it was really good and I definitely need to try out the other options sometime.”

I told you so!! Anyways, that’s all for this time, have an amazing spring break, be safe, and try out Sully’s Steamers! I promise you won’t regret it!
