    AI Usage in Students

With the rise of artificial intelligence, professors have cracked down on the use of such intelligences like Chat GPT. With any new technology, there are pros and cons to its use.

Some students have found AI websites to be a useful tool to help them study, check papers, and understand complex topics.

One of the ways a student can utilize AI, such as Chat GPT, is when writing papers. Not all students who attend Georgia Southern have English as their first language, so taking advantage of AI can be beneficial.

“It helps me sometimes to look for words and spelling,” said GSU Graduate Student.

According to said student, their teachers have all said not to use it.

“I have only recently started hearing professors mention AI, I would say like in the last two semesters,” said GSU senior.

Some professors have a strict no AI section in the syllabus, yet there are others who tell students to utilize it as a resource.

Though in some majors it is considered cheating and is prohibited, this does not stop students from using it.
