During the first week of early voting, from October 15th to November 1st, Bulloch County turned out in record-breaking numbers, setting a new county record on October 19th. According to the Grice Connect, local officials say that over 6,800 votes were cast.
On October 19th alone, 845 people voted, which set a new Saturday record since 2021.
This number aims to increase as Georgia Southern University students and faculty vote early this week. According to the Statesboro Harold, over 10% of Bulloch County’s approximately 53,000 registered voters have already cast their ballots in person or absentee.
Early voting will continue for five more days, ending on November 1st. You can vote early at the Bulloch County Annex from October 25th to November 1st (it will be closed on October 27th) and the Downtown Statesboro Development (also called the Georgia Southern Entrepreneurship Innovation Incubator) from October 28th to November 1st.
The last day to send in an absentee application is today, October 25th. You will have 2 weeks to receive the ballot and 2 weeks before election day to mail or drop off the ballot. Click here to make an absentee ballot application.
