Georgia Southern University hosted their bi-annual event Boro Browse in the Russell Union Rotunda. Boro Browse aims to promote local businesses and bring campus departments for browsing for students, faculty, and staff.
These businesses range from local restaurants, stores, campus departments, and self owned establishments.
“Just kinda help students who are new to Statesboro, kinda see the opportunities we have around here, also helps the employment as well,” said Graduate Assistant Sam Peebles. “Cause some students don’t work on campus so this is just kind of exposes them to jobs and businesses around Statesboro.”
Vendors are given a table for display and handed out pamphlets, food and prizes for students. The Office of Student Activities gives organizations three months in advance for proper preparation.
“We love coming here because a lot of students that aren’t even from Statesboro at all, so just beyond local,” said Sweet Impact manager Whitney White. “This is just really big, so we just want the students to know where we are. Our prices are very good for students to come and try everything.”
Boro Browse occurs every semester. If you or a business wants to participate, email the Office of Student Activities OSA.
