Spring is officially underway which means weekly markets are back in the boro! The first farmers market of the season will be Apr. 5, spotlighting local businesses and agriculture.
The Farmers Market will take place every Saturday from April to November, starting at 9 a.m. and going until 12:30 p.m. Vendors will be set up across Main Street in downtown Statesboro with food, crafts, entertainment and more.
Maia Brown, a freshman, is excited about the upcoming market. “I love how it gives an outlet for small businesses and being able to try all the free samples,” she said.
Delaney Love, a junior, is “looking forward to the farmers market and the selection of local honey.”
Bulloch County is an area driven by diversity. Markets such as these showcase the array of produce, crafts and culture South Georgia offers.
