Habitat for Humanity selling sweet treats to build faculty member new home

Georgia Southern University’s Habitat for Humanity chapter will hold a bake sale outside at the Russell Union Rotunda to raise funds for any GS faculty member in need of a new home.
The sale began on Monday, Nov. 6 however, the chapter will hold another sale on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brownies are being sold for $1, cheesecake for $2 and cake pops two for $1.
Habitat for Humanity Chapter President Christopher Gray said all proceeds go toward a $60,000 goal. He added that once the goal has been met, the Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County will work with the chapter to select a GS faculty member who meets the criteria for a new home.
About 45 minutes into Monday’s sale, Gray said the chapter had already raised around $20.
