The city of Statesboro had their fourteenth annual rodeo from April 24 through the 26.
The rodeo had vendors for customers to browse during the show that included cowboy hats, boots and belts.
The rodeo included activities such as bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping and calf scramble.
“I’ve never been to Statesboro and you know what I’ll tell you the reputation at Statesboro has had from past queens is that they’re a loving, kind and welcoming community and a fun community and a fun rodeo to attend and Statesboro has absolutely lived up to that reputation. I have had so much fun here,” said Miss Rodeo 2025, Megan Kelly.
The rodeo travels all over the country to bring entertainment to old and new fans alike.
“Georgia has some of the best rodeos and the best fans in the world. They get excited when they see great bucking horse rides. They get excited when they see fast runs and the tying events. The cowboys and myself feed off that energy. That excitement that the crowd has makes you want to come to the rodeo. That’s what makes it fun. If we were doing this in a pasture or somewhere with nobody watching, it wouldn’t be very much fun,” said announcer Blue Jeans.
The money raised for this event is used as a fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro.
The Rodeo is held every April and plans to continue to bring the entertainment wherever they go
