On Tuesday, Nov. 11, the Coca-Cola Caravan visited Armstrong Campus. The caravan rolled in at 11 a.m., surrounded by boxes of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and the newly released Holiday Creamy Vanilla flavor. The Coca-Cola Caravan is – in the words of event coordinator Lynn Griffin – “a cool product activation with Coca-Cola.”
The Caravan, a group of Coca-Cola brand ambassadors employed by the marketing firm Greenhouse Agency, Ltd., has travelled across Georgia, reaching out to Coca-Cola enthusiasts. According to Griffin, it’s all about brand and flavor awareness. Coca-Cola is releasing a new holiday flavor, Holiday Creamy Vanilla, and the Caravan is a part of their launch campaign.
The Caravan isn’t only visiting Armstrong. They’ve got a full roster of events in the next few weeks. “We have all types of different events. We do a lot of festivals, college campuses, whatever type of festival that holds Coca-Cola,” Griffin said.
The event was a hit, with students flocking to the caravan to create their own six-packs and grab other freebies. They were offering scarves and cups, all branded with the Coca-Cola name, to students who came for their free Coca-Cola cans.
“We want you guys to try [Holiday Creamy Vanilla],” Griffin said. “I’m looking forward to seeing what they think about that Holiday Creamy Vanilla flavor.” This reporter can’t speak to other students’ thoughts on this new soda, but in my opinion, it tasted great!
