The Bulloch County Agricultural Complex’s fifth Ag Grow Expo was open to the public on Saturday, giving agricultural vendors a chance to provide hands-on learning to the community.
The event is an educational opportunity to introduce school groups and the public to the importance of agriculture to the Bulloch County community.
Farming equipment and tractors were on display for visitors, along with animals from several local farms, which visitors could feed and pet.
The Georgia Farm Bureau set up an educational trailer at the event, featuring interactive activities about the foundations of agriculture.
“People should know where their clothes come from, people should know where their food comes from and that without farmers and the agricultural land those are not things you would have,” said Kimberely Sharpe, Event and Communications Coordinator for Bulloch County Recreation and Parks.
The Ag Grow expo will return next year.
