Catrett Locke (CL) Casting is offering paid background actor positions to Savannah locals and GSU Armstrong students. This spring and early summer, students can apply for the upcoming Judd Apatow and Glen Powell comedy feature film, “Comeback King.”
The film will be directed by Judd Apatow, an American director and producer famous for comedy movies like “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up,” “Superbad” and “Funny People.” Glen Powell — known for his roles in “The Running Man,” “Twisters,” “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Hit Man” — will be the film’s main actor and co-writer.
The background roles available range from college students to pickup truck owners, parents to musicians, dog lovers and so much more. The pay rate averages $182 for working 12 hours, and some specific roles offer more or less money. If interested, there’s two application forms to fill out: a general form, which includes photo submissions, and role specific forms, which include availability dates.
CL Casting asks that applicants understand, before they apply, that shoot days are very long and personal needs must be handled before confirming availability. Days are provided and differ for each role (ranging from April-June). Exact call and wrap times will be provided later, if the application is accepted.
