National Doughnut Day will take place on June 2. This “national holiday” has been taking place on the first Friday of June since 1938, after the Salvation Army gave doughnuts to the troops in World War I.

The doughnut community in Statesboro is ready to celebrate National Doughnut Day, so if you are looking to enjoy a free doughnut today, make sure to visit and take advantages of these deals.

Daylight Donuts

Daylight Donuts has been a part of the Statesboro community since the 1990s, bringing not just a variety of doughnuts (using their daylight donut mix) to the table.

Daylight Donuts is giving one free doughnut per customer today. In addition, Daylight Donuts did a contest in which they gave one dozen glazed donuts to five lucky customers.

Krispy Kreme

The popular franchise first opened its doors in Statesboro in 2016. Home of the original glazed doughnut, Krispy Kreme has over 50 doughnut flavors, including cinnamon sugar and chocolate iced cake.

In celebration of the holiday, Krispy Kreme is giving one free doughnut (any flavor) to every customer, no purchase is necessary.

Dunkin’ Donuts

The Dunkin’ Donuts corporation opened its doors in the Statesboro community in the late 1980s. The chain restaurant provides a fresh batch of doughnuts every four hours as well as a wide variety of fruit smoothies and coffees, which includes ice coffees as well.

For National Doughnut Day, Dunkin’ Donuts is offering a deal in which you receive one free classic doughnut (glazed, jelly, strawberry frosted or Boston Kreme) with the purchase of any beverage.
