Southern Adventures

Georgia Southern University’s Southern Adventures, whose primary location is in the back of the Recreation Activities Center (RAC), provides adventure programming to the college community.
They offer a variety of trips with different activities that vary in duration. Some of the activities include backpacking, whitewater rafting and snowshoeing.
Southern Adventures also has a challenge course. Some courses are available for preregistration due to limited space, including icebreakers, low element course, full static course and more.
Aside from trips, they offer bike rentals and repairs. They also have adventure gear rental, a climbing/ bouldering wall and skills clinic.
There are three events which are hosted over the fall and spring semester including Iron Eagle Challenge, Southern SendFest and Wilderness First Aid.
The Southern Adventure center is open in the RAC Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 7p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 6.p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m and are closed on Sundays for the fall and spring semester.
For the summer, they are open Monday through Thursday 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m to 2p.m. and closed Sunday.
