Statesboro Herald has reported that on Saturday January 23, there will be a concert at the Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center, PAC.

The concert, “Rockin’ Out Alzheimers,” will benefit people with Alzheimer’s disease with proceeds going to the Alzheimer’s Association of Coastal Georgia.

The concert will be performed by a Billy Joel cover band called, “The Stranger,” tickets are $20.

The Rockin’ out Alzheimer’s committee of Bullock County is putting it on.

“Like in years past, we are expecting a huge crowd at the Performing Arts Center, so we encourage everyone to get tickets early,” Darron Burnette, the chair of the Rockin’ out Alzheimers committee, said.

This is an issue near and dear to Burnette’s heart having had his mother and grandmother have Alzheimer’s.

Buy tickets now since it is expected that all 825 seats of the Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center will be sold out.
