A City Within The City: Forsyth County Planning New Development Project

The city of Cumming, Georgia is located within Forsyth County. Soon, the min-city Halcyon may also be in Forsyth County.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, developers RocaPartners and The Georgetown compamy have acquired close to 135 acres near Georgia 400 for the project.
The project will include 87 detached houses 155 townhouses, and 448 apartments. There will also be a large emphasis placed on commercial space. There will be two hotels, a specialty grocer, full service, fast-casual restaurants, and an outdoor outfitting company.
Construction on Halcyon is set to begin early next year with the first phase to tie into the Greenway Trail that connects Forsyth County to Alpharetta. The estimated cost for construction is $370 million.
