GSU and BCM present Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre: Murder on the Eagle Express
October 9, 2015
Since hosting its first Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre in 2011, Georgia Southern University and Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) once again invites students and fellow mystery buffs to help solve this year’s themed event of Murder on the Eagle Express.
This year’s theme of Murder Mystery is based off of the classic book (1934) and film (1974) Murder on the Orient Express. Characters will be dressed in 1920’s themed attire to fit the time period.
Previous themes of Murder Mystery DInner Theatre have included a murder at a high school reunion on a cruise ship and a murder at a wedding rehearsal dinner.
Campus minister Shannon Khan provides newcomers with insight on how the event will take place.
“We open with a script to help the audience understand the plot and end with the mystery being solved and the murderer getting caught,” Khan said.
Throughout the show, guests will be able to enjoy a menu of chicken parmesan and baked ziti with desserts of strawberry shortcake and key lime pie. Costs for the event range from $8 for students to $12 for visitors, with food and refreshments included. All proceeds will benefit student missions.
All aboard the Eagle Express as it takes off on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries on 1701 Chandler Road.
