STATESBORO — Kappa Kappa Psi will host the Nu Kappa Karnival as a fundraising event with food and games for everyone.

The carnival will be located at the Southeast Plaza on Wednesday, March 25 and Friday, March 27 and then at the Rotunda on Thursday, March 26.

KKPsi is a national honorary band fraternity at GS that aims to promote the existence and welfare of the GS band and the band members through service projects.

The main purpose of KKPsi is to serve and do things that are helpful for the band, according to KKPsi’s Vice President of Programming, Kiara Rayford.

“The Nu Kappa Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi is the 322nd chapter of the fraternity,” according to the Kappa Kappa Psi official website. “Nu Kappa was founded on Oct. 19, 2014 on the campus of GS.”

KKPsi encourages band members who are looking for a home and have a heart of service to join the fraternity and get involved with other people who love music.

“We are a fun group of people, we are always active, and we are always doing something,” said Rayford.

Attending the events that KKPsi hosts around campus and being in attendance for band performances are a few ways that people can support the fraternity and the GS Pride Band.
