STATESBORO — Police are on the hunt for a shooter that killed one man at The George Apartments last Friday.

Responding to a report of shots fired, police only found of 49 year old Kenneth Emanuel Smith at the scene, who was quickly transferred to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. Smith passed away due to his injuries soon after, according to WJCL.

Detectives have begun investigation and have already conducted a search warrant at an apartment in The Hamptons. Their current belief is that the suspect has fled. Arrest warrants have been issued, but no other information has been disclosed, according to WJCL.
