A resident of The Pointe at Southern was shot in the leg after being robbed at gunpoint by two masked men at approximately 1:20 a.m. today, according to a news release from Statesboro Police.

Statesboro Police responded to The Pointe in reference to a call reporting gunshot sounds. The gunshot victim had already left to go to East Georgia Regional Medical Center when the officers arrived, according to the police report.

The Pointe resident’s injuries are not life-threatening, according to the news release.

The only descriptions of the suspects at this time are that they are black males (both masked) and one may have been wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, and a green mask, according to the news release.
