Georgia Southern University cheerleaders, base Ashley Riggs and flyer Katherine Daniel, were selected by USA Cheer as First Team 2013 STUNT All-Americans, according to a news release.

Riggs, senior early childhood education major, was the captain of the Georgia Southern STUNT team and led the team to the national semi-finals beating out the University of Georgia and Florida State University, according to the news release.

Riggs has cheered with GSU for four years and won two NCA National Championships in 2011 and 2012.

Daniel, junior middle grades education major, won an NCA National Championship in 2012.

Riggs and Daniel join GSU’s previous STUNT All-Americans Ashlee Newsome and Conice Leverett from 2012 and JaNee Demery and Kayla Anne Wheatley from 2011, according to the news release.
