Did you miss your Hogwarts letter all those years ago too? Well, I’ve got you covered on how to make your GSU experience just a little more magical.
Welcome to the Slug Club! Professor Slughorn is here on campus to give you the golden ticket into his secret club. Think I’m talking crazy? I mean how could there possibly be a Slug Club here on Georgia Southern’s campus. Well in the muggle world it goes under a different name — the Honors Program. I know, it’s less thrilling, but it’s true.
The Honors Program is for students who want to pursue a more rigorous academic path. The Slug Club however is a select group of students who Horace Slughorn favors for their ambition, talent, intelligence, or even charm.
However, the two are similar in that they both contain a select few students who are viewed as set apart from the average student body. There are special events held just for those members. For the Slug Club, it was Slughorn’s lavish parties, whereas for the Honors Program, it is challenging courses, scholarships, or research opportunities.
So if you want to put the Slug Club on your wizarding resume, go for the Honors Program.
A toast, to Hogwarts’ brightest and best!
