Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and whether you’ll be spending the day with your sweetheart or your best friends, you need to come up with a plan for an exciting night out starting with dinner and dessert. Given that this year, the day of love will be held on a Sunday night, we went ahead and rounded up the places here in Statesboro that will be doing holiday specials and promotions perfect for you and your valentine.

Dinner

441 Public Kitchen and Bar, which is normally only open for brunch on Sundays, will also be open for dinner on Valentine’s Day. Always adding original dishes to the Statesboro dining scene, 441 will be serving a special of lamb chops with roasted potatoes and a mushroom cream sauce with shallots.
RJ’s Seafood and Steaks will have a dinner for two special all weekend long consisting of two steak and shrimp entrees with two sides, two salads and two desserts for $35.99. (Tax and gratuity not included.) Of the three, RJ’s is probably the most casual if you’re looking for a more relaxing night out.

Dessert

Several coffee shops in the area will be having specials this Valentine’s Day. So if you want to indulge but don’t have a full course meal in mind, or maybe you and your Valentine aren’t quite serious enough for a full night out, coffee and dessert at a local coffee shop might be just what you need.
3 Tree Coffee Roasters will have a special Honey Lavender Latte holiday drink. They’ll also have chocolate covered espresso beans, which will be 30% off with a purchase of the latte.
Cool Beanz Espresso Bar will be selling chocolate covered strawberries along with an assortment of holiday themed cookies and cupcakes.
The Daily Grind will be serving heart-shaped cheesecake as well as selling Valentine’s Day gift baskets.
Sugar Magnolia Bakery & Market will be serving a spread of heart-shaped treats, including carrot cake, red velvet cake, sugar cookies, and their special known as “chocolate love”, a brownie glazed with Belgian chocolate. They’ll also have chocolate covered strawberries and a lady finger gift box, perfect for those of you who love eating those pecan shortbread cookies.
